 Christadelphians have had a presence in Launceston for many years. From small beginnings, this sincere group of believers in God and Jesus Christ have grown in number until now when Christadelphians can be found in a number of places throughout Tasmania. One
of these groups, with a membership of around 120
Christadelphians, meet in a privately owned hall at 69
Balfour Street, Launceston. |

| Our hall is
in the section of Balfour Street between Wellington and
Charles Streets. Parking along Balfour Street is often
easy to find and all entrances are well lit at night for
everyone's safety.
Fundamental to our faith is the principle that what Jesus and his Apostles ( the 12 disciples) taught in the 1st century AD was truth - and it is still the truth today. The holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments are our sole authority. We believe that God created the earth and mankind as told in the first book of the Bible - Genesis; and that Jesus Christ, the Son of God was born into the world as recorded in the New Testament. Although Jesus was killed at the hands of the Romans around the year 30AD, we believe that God raised him from the dead and Jesus will return to the earth again to rule all people throughout the world. His rulership will be carried out in justice and his administration of laws will cause peace and prosperity to spread rapidly across the globe. Our meetings are not led by a paid ministry but by our members who freely give their time and services. Each member of the Christadelphians take it upon themselves to be fully conversant with the Bible and its message to mankind. This knowledge is not gleaned from an 'educational institution' but from a dedicated life of Bible Study and Bible Reading. Our operating expenses are all paid for by voluntary donations by members of the Christadelphians of 69 Balfour Street, Launceston. All of our pamphlets and printed brochures providing details of our beliefs are entirely free of charge, both to the public and to Christadelphian members. We only ask that you consider our literature with the sincerest of motives and please contact us if any questions should arise about the Christadelphians. We do not encourage door knocking in Launceston and surrounding areas so other methods are adopted to tell people about our presence and the message of the Bible.
